Our Health is First With Digestive Enzymes

Let me begin this article with a quote from Henri Frederic Amiel. It says, "In health there is freedom. Health is the first of all liberties. "

We shall begin our topic now. Our body needs enzymes in order to survive. There are three types of enzymes metabolic, digestive enzymes and food enzymes. Metabolic enzymes function to speed up the chemical reaction within the cells for energy production and detoxification purposes. Metabolic enzymes enable us to hear, see, feel, move and think. All the 100 trillion cells and every organs we have in our body all depend upon the reaction of metabolic enzymes and their energy factor.

Digestive enzymes are secreted along the digestive tract and their function is to break down food into nutrients and waste. This process separates nutrients to be absorbed inside the blood stream and the waste to be discarded.

Among these three enzymes it is only food enzymes that are not naturally produced by the body. Food enzymes are taken by the body from the raw foods that we eat. Raw foods naturally contain enzymes but cooking and processing of foods will destroy the natural enzymes that are found in raw food.

Though it has been mentioned that the body naturally produces enzymes, the body loses that ability for every ten years. That is why in order to cover that loss, food enzymes and enzyme supplements are very important for they can be other sources for digestive enzymes.

There is a lot of good sources for enzymes. For protease, the digestive enzyme that digest proteins there is kidney beans, spinach, romaine lettuce, pineapple, papaya, mushrooms, wheat, soy bean, kiwi, green plants, ginger root, guava, figs and broccoli. For lipase, the enzyme that digests the fast in the body. Its food source is seeds, wheat germs, spinach, romaine lettuce, raw red meats, soybeans, rice, flaxseed, corn, coconuts and avocado.

For Amylase, the enzyme that takes care of the carbohydrates in foods, their source would be kidney beans, wheat, rice, oats, corn, barley, sweet potato, reishi mushrooms, cabbage, beets, sugar-cane, honey, milk, maple sap, eggs and bananas. Then for cellulase, their best food source would be reishi mushrooms, avocados, peas and oat sprouts.

For supplements, the best digestive enzyme supplements usually have all these enzymes. The best supplements also are all-natural, 100% vegetarian and plant-based. This ensures that it is 100% safe and it is 100% effective.

As I end my article I would like to leave you with another quote. This one comes from De saint-Real. It goes like this. " Wisdom is to the soul what health is to the body. " Bye!
